Pastor Jon Trinklein
Luke 10:25-37
The reason for everything is love.
Love for others is so easy to understand but so difficult to do.
The Lawyer, the Story and Jesus
The religious lawyer’s question had nothing to do with his neighbor and everything to do
with himself.
He wanted to justify himself even though he excluded certain people.
He wanted to exclude certain people.
He made his life about something other
than love.
Jesus expands our understanding of who our neighbor is through telling a story.
The question to ask is not, “Who is my neighbor?” but “How do I love my neighbor?”
A neighbor is anyone and everyone
we encounter.
Love everyone always.
What keeps you from loving everyone always?
Jesus bridges every relational gap with his love.
Everyday God places you around people to love as
your neighbor.
Who is your neighbor?
